snowfall in Sonnenberg
well snow has been falling for the last couple of weeks now. we have had lots of snow and some rain thrown in. The sonnenhang & the brockenblick lifts have been open this weekend and the nordic skiing tracks have been cut.
there is more snow forecast for this week so the start of the season...
Hexenstieg
The hexenstieg is a “classic” walk in the National park Harz. The route is 96km long, starts in Osterode, finishes in Thale and passes over the Brocken (highest mountain in north Germany).

Skiing in the Harz
Lots of new snow last night (10 – 15 cm ) and its still falling now. Snowplows are out clearing the roads but they are soon covered again, drive carefully.
Ski & Snowboard Sale
Right in the middle of the summer holidays the perfect time to start thinking about winter sports, strange but true. Here in the Hotel we need to make some space in the ski hire shop for this seasons new skis arriving in October, so we are selling some of the old skis, snowboards & boots.
