The Harz mountains is stunning in every season, a superb area for photographers, walkers, runners, cyclists or drivers to enjoy breathtaking views, (although drivers better stop the car first).

well snow has been falling for the last couple of weeks now. we have had lots of snow and some rain thrown in. The sonnenhang & the brockenblick lifts have been open this weekend and the nordic skiing tracks have been cut.
there is more snow forecast for this week so the start of the season...
Hexenstieg
The hexenstieg is a “classic” walk in the National park Harz. The route is 96km long, starts in Osterode, finishes in Thale and passes over the Brocken (highest mountain in north Germany).
