As yet the snow that has fallen here in Sonnenberg has melted away within a few days, however snow is forcast on Friday & Saturday with a good drop in temperature. Next week snow is forcast for tue night wed, thur, And friday also with low temperatures for a sustained period so keep your fingers crossed.
Skiing in Sonnenberg
The ski season is fast approaching and we are preparing so that we will be ready for lots of snow (fingers crossed) The ski hire has lots of new ski’s for this season and ALL the snowboards have been replaced for this year, so if you want a bargain all the older stock is being sold off to make space with some of the snowboards for as little as 10€ . We will try to keep a small update going on here to let you know about snow conditions as often as time allows. or you can look on one of the many snow forecast sites for the Harz.

End of season Bash Bikepark Braunlage

As we know the bikepark is closing for the winter at the end of October so Peter & the team at Zweirad busche are having a celebration to mark the end of the first season in the bikepark. There will be all the test bikes from Giant (free to try) a member of the Giant downhill team to talk to, BBQ, and some free beer (for after the riding)
All the ex rental bikes are for sale at discount prices so chance for a bargain as well as a last chance for downhill bike blasting before the skiing gets underway.
Bikepark Braunlage
The bikepark is now open with 3 from the proposed 7 tracks completed. Plenty of test bikes to try this weekend from Giant. You can rent all the protectors, helmet and bike if you want to try for the first time.
